Lars Oleson is an entrepreneur, award-winning software architect, and former head of
engineering for a billion-dollar software enterprise.
Lars Oleson joined Ice House as COO in August of 2013. A 15-year software industry veteran,
Lars has invented products for iolo technologies and Oracle (formerly SeeBeyond), co-founded
3 companies, and led engineering for the Symantec AntiVirus suite – at the time the 3rd most
installed paid software in the world (only exceeded by Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office).
At iolo technologies he revamped the engineering department and set up the successful sale to
Phoenix Technologies, while still finding time to write patent applications for the team and
author one of his own. As an Architect at Oracle (formerly SeeBeyond) Lars co-invented and
delivered award-winning business process automation and graphic analytics tools that fueled
the acquisition. Lars’ products have secured Gartner “magic quadrant” positions in two different
sectors, and have collectively won dozens of awards for both consumer and enterprise
solutions.
Lars sees himself as an “engineer of companies” and with a wealth of experience nuturing start
ups, managing software engineering, delivering award-winning market-winning products, Lars
brings a little bit of Silicon Valley to Jakarta. Teams under his watch have grossed over $5
billion in revenue. Lars holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (completed in 3 years), from

Lars loves nothing more than the back-and-forth of a whiteboard session. But when he’s not
creating software magic, Lars enjoys carpentry and metalworking, surfing in Bali, ultimate
frisbee, and golf.!
